A straight draw refers to a situation where you are one card away from completing a straight. In this state, if a card of a specific rank appears next, your hand will be complete.
Specific Situation

, an 8 would complete a straight. This is called a gutshot straight draw.
Important Information
- There are two types of straight draws: the "open-ended straight draw," which can be completed at either end, and the "gutshot straight draw," which is missing just one card. The open-ended straight draw has a higher probability of being completed.
