Basic Definition

A flat call refers to the act of simply calling a bet or raise from an opponent, even when holding a strong hand that could justify a raise.

Specific Situation

• When you're on the button and your opponent raises from under the gun, you have AQ but choose to flat call instead of reraising.
• You are in the big blind, and the player in the small blind raises. You have KK, but you choose to flat call.
