PFR
★☆☆
Basic Definition
PFR (Pre-Flop Raise) is a statistical measure that indicates the percentage of times a player raises before the flop. It is used as an indicator of a player's aggressiveness and attacking style.
Specific Situation
- If Player A plays 100 hands and raises pre-flop 20 times, the PFR is 20%.
- Players who frequently raise pre-flop have a high PFR, while those who limp (only call) with many hands have a low PFR.
Important Information
- PFR is often analyzed in combination with VPIP (Voluntarily Put Money In Pot), which allows you to determine a player's style (tight or loose, aggressive or passive).
- If your PFR is too high, you are more susceptible to counters from your opponents, and if it's extremely low, you lack offensive power. Therefore, it's important to maintain a balance.
Examples of Term Usage
"This opponent has a PFR of 10%, so it seems like they're being quite selective and raising pre-flop."
