Re-buy
Basic Definition
A re-buy refers to adding chips during a cash game or tournament. Tournaments that allow rebuys are rare, and even in such tournaments, there are usually time or frequency limits set.
Specific Situation
In a cash game, after losing a significant amount of chips in the first 30 minutes, I chose to rebuy and continue playing with the same stack size.
Just before the end of the tournament's "rebuy period," remaining players employ a strategy of "rebuying" to add extra chips to their current stack.
Important Information
In tournaments where rebuys are possible, it's important to plan in advance whether or not to use them. Be careful to play within your budget.
Whether to rebuy should be carefully considered based on the current table situation, the speed of the blinds, and your own skills.
Examples of Term Usage
"I lost a lot of chips, but since it's still the rebuy period, I paid an additional fee to increase my stack."
