Scoop refers to winning the entire pot in a poker hand.
The term is most commonly used in split-pot games such as Omaha Hi-Lo, where a player wins both the high hand and the low hand, thereby taking the whole pot with no split.
It is also used in double-board formats (where two boards are dealt simultaneously). If a player wins both boards, they are said to “scoop” the pot.

If no opponent can match either hand, the player scoops the pot by winning both high and low.
Important Information

- In double-board formats, choosing hand structures that can perform well on both boards increases your chances of scooping.
- Because scooping yields maximum chip gain, it is a strategically important concept in poker.
