Basic Definition

A tournament is a type of poker format where participants pay a predetermined buy-in amount and receive a set amount of chips to play with. If a player runs out of chips, they are eliminated, and the last remaining player wins. Participants earn prizes based on their ranking.

Specific Situation

• Fifty people participated in a tournament with an entry fee of $100. Everyone starts with the same amount of chips, and the game continues until only one person remains. The total prize pool is $4,000, and the top 10 players will receive a share of the prize.
