Turn

Basic Definition

The turn refers to the fourth community card revealed after the flop, as well as the round of betting associated with it.

Specific Situation

• When the flop is A93 and your hole cards are KT, a 7 on the turn will complete a flush.
• When the flop is Q85 and your hole cards are JT, a 9 on the turn will complete a straight.

Important Information

• The turn is a phase that can significantly change the likelihood of completing a player's hand. Therefore, the decision to call in order to see the turn card must be made carefully.
• After the turn card, the pot tends to grow larger, so it's important to carefully read your opponent's intentions behind their bets and raises.
