Two pair is a poker hand consisting of two different ranks, each with a pair of cards.

• If your hand is 8h88d8 and the board is JsJJcJ4h4, you have a two pair of jacks and eights.
• If your hand is 9s97s7 and the board is 9h97c7KdK, you have a two pair with nines and sevens.

Important Information

• The strength of two pairs depends on the rank of the higher pair. For example, a two pair of AhAAcATsTTcT is stronger than a two pair of JsJJcJQsQQcQ.
• Even if you have two pairs, you must always consider the possibility that your opponent has three of a kind, a straight, or a flush or better.
